Mother Taught Me

This time of year (election time) reminds me of three things my Mother taught me:

1. Saying it loud doesn't make it true. 
2. Saying it often doesn't make you right.
3. And, failing to tell the truth is the same as telling a lie. 

She was wrong on all three.
